Wendell Dougan
Wendell Dougan, a culinary professional with 35 years of experience, built his career with Canada Steamship Lines and various Montréal restaurants.
From a youthful age, growing up in a family of cooks, Wendell Dougan was always intrigued by food. He was constantly interested in and inspired by what his mother prepared in the kitchen.
In 1989, Wendell ventured out into the workforce and started working for Canada Steamship Lines as a Porter. He worked his way up as a Second cook, Night Cook, and eventually in a Chief’s cook position. He then became more interested in the profession and went back to school at Riverside Tech and obtained a culinary diploma in 1998.
Over the years, he worked for various restaurant establishments in Montréal and the Centre Mount-Royal.
Wendell continued working as a Cook on Canada Steamship Lines for over thirty years. Now thirty-five years in the profession, he is more involved in catering and the Hospitality industry, and has the pleasure of watching his son, Jae-Anthony Dougan Holder, evolve as a successful Chef.
