Born in Ohio, the Dunigan family moved to Dallas when Matt was 6 years old where he quickly learned that Texans are fanatic about 2 things: football and barbecue. And so Matt Dunigan’s path in life was set.
Attending Louisiana Technical University on a full athletic scholarship, Dunigan set numerous records (breaking Terry Bradshaw’s along the way) as quarterback for the Tech Bulldogs. From there his football career continued as a star quarterback in the CFL from 1983-1996. Matt Dunigan put up the numbers (44,000 passing yards, 850 rushes for 5031 yards and 77 touchdowns). To this day he holds the CFL record for total yards in a single game with 713. Along the way, Matt led his team to two Grey Cup victories (1987 – Edmonton Eskimos, 1991 – Toronto Argonauts) and was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
Matt now lives in the greater Toronto area with his family, including Roxy & Rudy (the dogs), Jack & Addie (the cats).
