Amanda Herrera is a talented, fun-loving cook and caterer with a passion for using locally-sourced ingredients to create inspired dishes that reflect Canada’s diverse culture. A picky eater as a child, Amanda started making her own meals at a very young age, but her love of cooking really began while working as a server. She has worked in several positions within the restaurant industry, but the kitchen is where she feels most at home.
With a background in painting and sculpture, Amanda uses her artistic talent when cooking and plating food. She now co-owns North Market with her husband, a catering company that focuses on using seasonal produce to create wholesome dishes. Amanda also proudly operates a food stand at her local farmer’s market in Almonte, Ontario.
