Chef Erica Karbelnik’s culinary journey began at a young age, igniting her passion for food at 17 years old where she embarked on her first professional cooking job in Toronto at ONE Restaurant. She co-owns Karbs Catering & Private Events with her husband Josh Karbelnik and are the co-hosts on two Gusto TV shows: BLITZ! and Gusto TV Studios Presents: Bring On The Karbs.

Chef Erica Karbelnik’s culinary journey began at a young age, igniting her passion for food at 17 years old where she embarked on her first professional cooking job in Toronto at ONE Restaurant. Pursuing her culinary aspirations, she enrolled in culinary studies at Niagara College, where she obtained a diploma focused on culinary management and hospitality. Her path then led her to Vancouver’s culinary scene at Wildebeest and later back to Toronto, where she served as Chef de Cuisine at Weslodge. Erica has worked alongside some of Canada’s most recognized chefs, training in French Italian cuisine and specializing in handmade pasta. In 2021, Erica won Top Chef Canada, Season 9, followed by another win in Chopped Canada, Season 3, where she honed her Moroccan Israeli background in the dishes she prepared. Today, she co-owns Karbs Catering & Private Events with her husband Josh Karbelnik. Karbs Catering & Private Events started because of the love Erica and Josh have for food, which also opened the doors to them being co-hosts on two Gusto TV shows: BLITZ! and Gusto TV Studios Presents: Bring On The Karbs.
