Ingredients:
2 baguettes, sliced down the middle lengthwise
¼lb (115g) unsalted butter, room temperature
4 large cloves garlic, peeled
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons (30ml) dried parsley
½ cup (120ml) parmesan cheese, grated
Method:
Pre-heat oven to 425 F (220 C).
Grate the garlic cloves on a micro-plane, or a fine cheese grater.
Place garlic pulp in a mixing bowl.
Add butter, salt and pepper, and mix until properly combined.
Spread garlic butter over the inside part of the baguette halves.
Place bread on a baking tray, butter side up.
Sprinkle dried parsley over the butter, and top with grated parmesan.
Place garlic bread in the oven and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until butter and cheese is nicely melted, and the edges of the bread is golden brown.
Remove from oven, cut into portion size pieces, and serve hot.
