Makes 3 tablespoons (45 mL) saam-gler
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 mL) cilantro roots
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 teaspoons (10 mL) black or white peppercorns
Directions
- Pound the cilantro roots roughly in a mortar and pestle. Add the garlic, and continue to pound until the mixture starts to become paste-like. Finally, add the peppercorns and pound to a fine paste.
- Keeps refrigerated for up to 3 weeks.
