Yield: 4 burgers
Ingredients:
½ pound (226 g) round chuck
½ pound (226 g) ground sirloin
½ red onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon (15 ml) whole grain mustard
½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
3 tablespoons (45 ml) coarsely crushed peppercorns
4 rustic burger buns
Toppings of your choice
Method:
Preheat barbeque to medium-high heat.
Combine ground chuck and ground sirloin with red onion, garlic, whole grain mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and salt in a bowl until well mixed. Wet your hands to prevent sticking, and roll evenly sized balls of beef mixture. Form each portion into a burger patty. Sprinkle peppercorns onto a baking sheet and coat both sides of burger patty. Grill on the barbeque until desired doneness is achieved.
Add burgers to buns and add toppings of your choice.
