Lemongrass & Ginger Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 stalk lemongrass smashed, and cut into small pieces
  • 1 inch piece of peeled ginger root sliced ¼ inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons oolong tea leaves (30ml)
  • 2 whole star anise pods
  • 2 cups boiling water (500ml)
  • Sugar to taste optional
  • 1 cinnamon stick optional garnish

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into a tea pot.
  2. Pour boiling water in and allow to steep 5 minutes.
  3. Strain tea using a tea strainer add sugar if desired
