Position Overview Gusto TV is looking for a confident and strategic Business Development Manager to work directly with our CEO and Executive Management team. Supporting the identification and exploration of new business opportunities with a strong focus on the US market. You will serve as the first point of contact for potential partners, initiating conversations, conducting research, and preparing materials that enable the CEO to make informed strategic decisions. This role also involves helping position Gusto for strategic growth, tracking market trends, and building professional relationships with external organizations.
This high-impact role requires exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, strong B2B business development experience, and the ability to work confidently and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Strategic Support: Work closely with the CEO and senior team on key business development initiatives, partnership opportunities, and growth strategies.
· Partnerships and Market Growth: Identify and pitch new opportunities including co-productions, licensing deals and brand integrations, with a strong focus on the US market.
· Business Outreach: Serve as the first point of contact for potential partners, initiating conversations, gathering information, and facilitating strategic explorations.
· Development Support: Collaborate with the creative, production, and marketing teams to help package show pitches, sponsorship proposals, and brand integration decks.
· Lead Generation and Analytics: Use CRM, analytics, and AI tools to generate and track leads, and report on business performance.
· Future E-Commerce Planning: Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape Gusto’s future e-commerce strategy including vendor partnerships, fulfillment workflows, and platform integrations.
· Other duties as needed. This is a nimble, collaborative environment that values initiative and flexibility.
Qualifications and Skills
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Relentless business and sales instincts, confident closer with strong negotiation skills.
· Poised, articulate, and professional when working with C-suite and senior executives.
· Skilled in developing proposals, sponsorship pitches, and presentation decks with marketing support.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, partnerships, and e-commerce.
· Working knowledge of AI tools, e-commerce platforms, and vendor management.
· Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and comfortable working directly with the CEO in a dynamic and creative environment.
