Gusto TV is the world’s best food channel, available in English and Spanish on over 40 streaming platforms across 160 countries. We produce all our content in-house, making this a truly unique and creative place to work. We’re currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time, in-person position based at our Ottawa studio.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Digital Media Management for video shoots.
- Transcode & Timeline projects for Senior Editors. Serve as back-up to Digital Media Technician.
- Edit Video Projects, including, but not limited to: Promos, Sizzle Reels, Short-form Recipe Videos, and Social Media
- Track music selections for projects, make regular reports, and cue sheets.
- Assist on set during production. Tasks may include: audio monitoring, teleprompter operation, projector operation, etc.
- Collaborate in a positive and professional manner with Management, Senior Editors, and Motion Graphics Designers.
- Adhere to editing standards and expectations from Management and Senior Editors. Follow Gusto TV brand guidelines.
- Ensure equipment is in good working order, and video projects are properly archived, accessible, organized, and consistent.
- Deliver assignments on time.
