Yield: 4 – 6 as an appetizer
Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken wings, cleaned (1.5 kg)
Marinade
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon of chili powder (15ml)
- 1 tablespoon of chili flakes (15ml)
- 2 teaspoons paprika (10ml)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (30ml)
- 3 limes, segmented
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a medium size bowl mix together the marinade ingredients.
- Place the cleaned chicken wings in a plastic sealable bag.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken wings and seal the baggie. Shake bag to ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Let marinate in the refrigerator for 5 hours.
- Preheat barbecue to 300°F/150°C or medium low heat.
- Remove the chicken wings from the plastic bag and discard the marinade.
- Place chicken wings on the grill and cook for 8 minutes per side. The wings will be crispy and golden brown in colour.
