Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings, cleaned (1.5 kg)

Marinade

  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder (15ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of chili flakes (15ml)
  • 2 teaspoons paprika (10ml)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (30ml)
  • 3 limes, segmented
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a medium size bowl mix together the marinade ingredients.
  2. Place the cleaned chicken wings in a plastic sealable bag.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken wings and seal the baggie.  Shake bag to ensure the chicken is evenly coated.  Let marinate in the refrigerator for 5 hours.
  4. Preheat barbecue to 300°F/150°C or medium low heat.
  5. Remove the chicken wings from the plastic bag and discard the marinade.
  6. Place chicken wings on the grill and cook for 8 minutes per side.  The wings will be crispy and golden brown in colour.
