Spicy Honey Mustard
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) yellow mustard seeds
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) brown mustard seeds
- 1/2 cup (120 mL) white wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) water
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) honey
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL) sea salt
Directions
- In spice blender (grinder), grind yellow mustard seeds and brown mustard seeds until most are broken.
- In a small bowl, combine seeds, vinegar and water. Cover.
- Let cure at room temperature for 24 hours.
- To make the mustard, combine the mustard seed mixture, honey and salt in a blender.
- Process until smooth. (Note: For more rustic texture, use food processor)
- Serves as a side dish.
