Ned’s Famous BBQ Sauce
Makes: 2 cups (500ml)

Ingredients
- 1 large white onion chopped – approx. 1 cup (250 ml)
- 1 ½ tablespoons chopped garlic (22 ml)
- 2 cups diced canned tomato with juice strained off (500 ml) – reserve juice
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce(60 ml)
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar (60 ml)
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard (60 ml)
- ¼ cup molasses (60 ml)
- ¼ cup ketchup (60 ml)
- 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper (30 ml)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a medium skillet sauté onion and garlic until tender.
- Deglaze pan with ½ cup (125 ml) of reserved tomato juice. Add diced tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients and let cook over medium high heat until slightly
- Thickened – about 10 minutes.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
