Plum Sauce

Wine Suggestion: Merlot
Yield: ¾ cup sauce (180ml)
Ingredients
- ½ cup good quality red plum preserves (125 ml)
- ¼ cup rice wine vinegar (60 ml)
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, peeled and grated (15 ml)
- 1/3 cup scallions, finely chopped (85 ml)
Directions
- Place plum preserves, vinegar and fresh ginger into a saucepan. Set the saucepan over medium low heat. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and allow mixture to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove saucepan from heat allow to cool slightly. Stir scallions into the mixture.
- Serve warm with potstickers.
