Grilled Lamb Steaks with Mango Mint Chutney Recipe

This Grilled Lamb Steaks with Mango Mint Chutney recipe combines juicy, herb-marinated lamb with a refreshing tropical chutney made from ripe mango, fresh mint, cilantro, lime, and chili. Featured on Maddie and Kiki’s BBQ Barn Season 2, this barbecue recipe delivers bold flavors and a perfect balance of smoky grilled meat, sweet fruit, and bright herbs, making it an impressive choice for summer dinners, celebrations, and outdoor entertaining.

The Inspiration

Inspired by global grilling traditions and the vibrant flavors of tropical cuisine, this recipe brings together the richness of grilled lamb with the refreshing brightness of a fresh mango chutney. Lamb has long been celebrated in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and South Asian cuisines, where herbs, fruit, and spices are often used to enhance the natural flavor of the meat.

Maddie and Kiki Longo highlight the versatility of barbecue cooking by pairing tender lamb steaks with a colorful chutney that adds sweetness, acidity, and freshness to every bite. The overnight marinade allows the lamb to absorb the flavors of olive oil, white wine, and fresh mint, creating a tender and aromatic grilled dish.

The mango mint chutney provides the perfect contrast with juicy ripe mango, fragrant herbs, citrus juices, and a touch of Thai chili heat. Together, these elements create a restaurant-quality barbecue recipe that feels exciting yet approachable for home cooks.
