Butter Washed Yuzu Sour Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 7 oz whiskey (preferably Japanese)
  • ½ cup frozen unsalted butter
  • 1 oz yuzu juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 oz sparkling water
  • Ice

 

Method:

  1. On a box grater shred frozen butter.
  2. Place in mason jar.
  3. Add whiskey and set in fridge overnight.
  4. Using a cheese cloth, strain whiskey into a clean mason jar.
  5. In a drink shaker add 2 oz of whiskey, yuzu, simple syrup and egg white.
  6. Shake until the drink starts to foam.
  7. Add ice to shaker and shake again about 15 seconds.
  8. Pour into rocks glass.
  9. Top with soda water.
