
Ingredients:
- 2 cups ripe strawberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 sheets gelatin
Method:
- Place sheets of gelatin in a bowl of cold water to allow them to hydrate.
- Cover a pound cake mold with plastic wrap and set aside.
- In a small pot, cook strawberries with sugar until soft. Let cool enough and blend. Add gelatin to the still warm strawberry puree. Let cool completely.
- Whip cream at high speed until hard peaks form. Add vanilla and strawberry mix and mix well. Pour mixture into the prepared mold and freeze until hard. Slice and serve with fresh strawberries.
