Porcini Crusted Filet Mignon

Ingredients

  • 4 – ½ pound Filet Mignons – 4 (250grams)
  • 1 cups dried porcini mushrooms – (250ml)
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven 400°F
  2. Place porcini mushrooms into spice grinder and process until mushrooms are finely grounded.
  3. Sprinkle each filet with the porcini mushrooms and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat oil in skillet and sear each filet mignons until brown on both sides.
  5. Place steak into broiler pan and place into the oven. Bake until meat thermometer reaches 145 degrees for media rare.
  6. Once the fillet is finished, remove from oven and transfer to platter and cover with foil for at least 10 before cutting.
  7. Serve and enjoy.
