Stefy’s Banana Cake

This is a banana cake made with LOVE, PASSION, and CHOCOLATE CHIPS! The holy trinity of a good banana cake.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup (120 ml) granulated sugar
  • ½ (120 ml) cup brown sugar
  • ½ (120 ml) cup plain yogurt
  • ½ (120 ml) cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (454 grams) flour
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) of salt
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of baking soda
  • 2 teaspoon (10 ml) of baking powder
  • 1 cup (227 grams) of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method:

Pre-heat your oven to 350 F (175 C). Grease and flour a Bundt cake or loaf pan of your choice.

In a large bowl, whisk together your eggs and sugars, then mash in your bananas, and lastly mix in the yogurt, oil and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, salt, baking soda and baking powder.

Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until it is all combined.

Fold in your chocolate chips.

Pour batter into the pan and let it bake until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 40-45 minutes.

Cool for about 10 minutes, serve.
