Ingredients:

1 ¼ cups (300 ml) butter

¾ cup (180 ml) sugar

1 cup (240 ml) brown sugar

2 eggs

2 cups (480 ml) flour

1 cup (240 ml) black cocoa powder

¾ teaspoon (4 ml) baking soda

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) chili powder

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) cayenne pepper

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) cinnamon

½ cup (120 ml) chili chocolate chunks

½ cup (120 ml) white chocolate chunks

 

Method:

Let’s get baking!

Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C).

Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and keep beating until smooth.

In a separate bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon. Pour flour mixture into butter mixture, mixing to incorporate. Add chocolate chunks and stir to mix through.

Scoop a rounded, packed spoon of dough onto baking pan using a 1-ounce (30 ml) scoop.

Bake 8-10 minutes.
