Ingredients:

For the apple mixture:

2 granny smith apples, peeled and diced

¼ cup (60 ml) brown sugar

½ tablespoon (7.5 ml) cinnamon

1 tablespoon (15 ml) unsalted butter, melted

For the crumble:

3 tablespoons (45 ml) unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons (30 ml) brown sugar

¼ cup (60 ml) all-purpose flour

For the glaze:

1 tablespoon (15 ml) milk

1/3 cup (80 ml) icing sugar

For the pizza:

½ pound (227 g) pizza dough, prepared, uncooked

Butter, for pan

Method:

Preheat oven to 500 F (260 C).

For the apple mixture:

Heat a sauté pan or skillet to medium-high heat.

In the pan, combine apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter. Cook until apples are soft, and the mixture is sticky. Set aside.

For the crumble:

In a small bowl, crumble together butter, brown sugar; and flour; mix until sandy in texture. Set aside.

For the glaze:

In a small bowl, combine milk and icing sugar together to make glaze. Set aside.

For the pizza:

Lightly butter an oven ready pan that is large enough for the pizza dough.

Roll out pizza dough, place on pan, bake for five minutes.

Remove pizza dough from oven. Place apple mixture onto the dough, then top with the crumble, leaving space on the edge for a crust to develop.

Return to oven and bake for five more minutes or until the crumble begins to brown.

Remove from oven, cool slightly, then drizzle with glaze.

Cut and serve warm.
