Ingredients:
4 Macintosh apples
3 tablespoons (45 ml) butter
1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons (30 ml) brown sugar
½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
4 generous scoops vanilla ice cream
4 ginger snap cookies
Method:
Core and dice the apples.
Heat butter over low heat in a small saucepan. Add apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Cook until apples are soft.
Distribute the apple mixture evenly into the bottom of 4 serving bowls. Place one scoop of ice cream on top of the apple mixture in each serving bowl. Crumble one ginger snap over the top of each sundae.
Serve immediately.
