Quick & Easy Compound Butter

Yield: ¾ cup

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (120 ml) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) minced fresh tarragon
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) minced shallots
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) orange zest

Method:

In a bowl, use a fork to combine the butter and salt.

Mix in tarragon, shallots, honey, and orange zest.

Switch to a whisk and whip until fluffy.

Transfer to a serving dish. smooth the top of the butter and cover tightly with plastic wrap until ready to serve.

Serve at room temperature with bread.
