Green Pea Guacamole

Ingredients:

2 ½ cups (600 ml) frozen green peas

½ cup (120 ml) sour cream

2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil

¼ cup (60 ml) lime juice

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) garlic powder

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) onion powder

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt

1 teaspoon (5 ml) hot sauce

1 small tomato, finely diced

¼ cup (60 ml)  chopped cilantro

 

Method:

Place peas in a colander under running water until just thawed. Shake peas of any moisture and transfer to food processor. Add sour cream, olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and hot sauce. Pulse until smooth, then transfer to a serving bowl.

Stir in tomato and cilantro, and serve with tortilla chips.
