Peppermint White Russian


  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 4-6 candy canes or peppermint sticks, broken
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • Cold brew coffee
  • Ice
  • Additional candy canes or peppermint sticks, to garnish

Optional: vodka and coffee liqueur




Combine the cream and candy canes in double boiler and heat, stirring from time to time, until the candy canes have dissolved completely.

Cool cream completely, then add the vanilla extract.

Fill tumblers with ice.

Pour in cold brew coffee to halfway fill the glass.

“Float” the chilled peppermint cream over the coffee.

Stir very gently, then add a peppermint stick as a garnish and serve immediately.

For a hard version, use vodka and coffee liqueur in place of the cold brew coffee.
