Matcha Syrup

Yield: 8 servings.

 

Ingredients:

½ cup (120ml) water + 1 tablespoon (15ml) water

¾ cup (180ml) sugar

1 ½ teaspoons (8ml) matcha green tea powder

 

Method:

In a small sauce pan, heat water and sugar over medium-high heat.

In a separate bowl, mix matcha green tea powder and 1 tablespoon (15ml) of water to make a paste.

Boil sugar and water mix for 10 minutes, and remove from heat.

Let cool for another 10 minutes.

Add tea paste to warm syrup, and stir until smooth.
