Sirloin steaks with onion mustard sauce

Yield: 4-6 servings

Onion Mustard Sauce

Directions

  1. Place marinade ingredients into bowl and mix well.  Place the steaks in a sealable plastic bag and pour the marinade overtop. Seal the bag and place into the refrigerator for 3 hours.
  2. Pre-heat barbeque to 375°F/190°C or medium high heat.
  3. Remove steak from marinade and pat dry.  Allow steak to come to room temperature. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Oil the barbeque grill.  Cook steak for 6 minutes, turn 45 degrees and cook for another 6 minutes.
  5. Flip steak and cook for an additional 6 minutes, turn steak 45 degrees and finish cooking for 6 more minutes. (for medium rare steak).
  6. Remove steak and cover with aluminum foil. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Slice steak into desired portion sizes and serve with Onion Mustard Sauce.
